We are thrilled to present to you this edition of The Blue Glow from Sugar Land Lodge No. 1141!
Oscar Ochoa
With the upcoming installation of our newly elected and appointed officers, we begin another Masonic year filled with opportunity, purpose, and renewed commitment to our Craft. Installation is more than a ceremony—it is a reminder that while the faces in leadership may change, the timeless principles of Masonry remain constant.
I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all of our incoming officers and thank them for accepting the responsibilities entrusted to them. Leadership within the Lodge is both an honor and a duty, requiring dedication, humility, and a willingness to serve. I have every confidence that this year's officers will lead with wisdom and integrity.
A special welcome and congratulations go to our incoming Worshipful Master, Thad Olive. As he assumes the East, we wish him a successful and rewarding year. May he be guided by the lessons of our fraternity, supported by the officers at his side, and encouraged by the fellowship of every Brother in the Lodge. His success will be the success of us all.
As we begin this new chapter, let us remember that every Brother has a role to play in the strength of our Lodge. Whether serving as an officer, participating on a committee, mentoring a new Mason, or simply attending meetings and supporting our events, each contribution helps build a thriving and united fraternity.
Let us enter this Masonic year with renewed enthusiasm, a spirit of cooperation, and a commitment to making our Lodge a place where every Brother feels welcomed, valued, and inspired.
Fraternally,
Oscar Ochoa
Worshipful Master of Sugar Land Masonic Lodge #1141

Brethren,
It is with deep gratitude that I address you as we begin another Masonic year. Thank you for your continued trust in allowing me to remain at the desk as Secretary of Sugar Land Lodge No. 1141. Serving this Lodge is a privilege, and I am committed to ensuring our administrative work continues smoothly so our focus can remain squarely on fellowship and our Masonic labors.
A Lodge is only as strong as the Brethren who fill its seats. I want to encourage every one of you to remain active and engaged with our Lodge this year. Whether it has been a week or a year since you last attended, your presence on the sidelines is what gives our Fraternity life. We need your fellowship, your wisdom, and your participation.
I also want to encourage you to extend that same fraternal spirit across our district. We are blessed to have strong ties with our neighboring Brethren at Morton Lodge No. 72 and Rosenberg Lodge No. 881. Traveling to support their events and degree work not only strengthens our bonds but enriches our own Masonic experience. There is a great deal of degree work happening this month, and your presence would mean a lot to the candidates.
Please mark your calendars for these important upcoming dates:
Thursday, July 16th: Morton Lodge will confer a Fellowcraft Degree by courtesy for Garden Oaks Lodge.
Monday, July 20th: Sugar Land's Stated Meeting. I look forward to seeing a full dining room and a packed Lodge!
Saturday, July 25th: Sugar Land Lodge will confer three Fellowcraft Degrees by dispensation at Morton Lodge.
