February often brings the quiet heart of winter — a season that tests endurance, patience, and resolve. The days may still be cold and the nights long, yet even now we see signs that brighter days are ahead. In this, we are reminded of an important truth of our Masonic journey: light is most meaningful when it shines in darkness.
As Masons, we are called to be that steady light for one another. A word of encouragement, a shared moment of fellowship, or a simple act of kindness can bring warmth where it is needed most. Let us be mindful of our Brothers who may be facing personal trials and take the time to reach out with sincerity and care.
This month, may we recommit ourselves to the principles that unite us — Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth — not only within the walls of the Lodge, but in our homes, workplaces, and communities. Through small, consistent acts, we strengthen both our Craft and our character.
Even in winter, the light endures — and so does the bond of our brotherhood.

Brethren, I hope this message finds you and your family well.
As a reminder, 2026 dues were payable no later than December 31, 2025. If your 2026 dues have not been paid, you are now considered in arrears and are unable to participate in any Masonic activity requiring being a Master Mason in good standing. If this pertains to you, please contact me to remedy the situation. Due may be paid online at www.sugarlandmasoniclodge.com.
We have two big events happening in February that I hope to see you at. First, our Lodge will host R:.W:. Albert Davis for his Official Visit on Monday, February 16, 2026. Dinner will be at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting will commence at 7:30 p.m.
Secondly, Sugar Land Lodge will participate in the annual Degree in the Park on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. and lock at 6:00 p.m. This Degree is always special to see and I encourage any Master Mason to attend who is able to do so.
One last request: I kindly ask that you record your charitable works on the Google Form below. These entries help Sugar Land Lodge maintain our property tax exemption, and every act of service—great or small—truly counts.
