We are thrilled to present to you this edition of The Blue Glow from Sugar Land Lodge No. 1141!
Oscar Ochoa
As we brush the last crumbs of Thanksgiving pie from our aprons and turn our thoughts toward the twinkling lights of the Christmas season, I hope this message finds each of you well, warm, and surrounded by those you cherish. This time of year reminds us how fortunate we are—not only for the blessings in our homes, but for the Brotherhood we share within our Lodge.
Thanksgiving has a way of slowing us down just long enough to remember the simple joys: good meals, good company, and gratitude for the paths that brought us together. As we move into the festive month of December, may we carry that same spirit of thankfulness into our celebrations, our gatherings, and our acts of charity. After all, this season gives us countless opportunities to put into practice the very tenets we hold dear—Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth.
May your days ahead be filled with warmth, a touch of laughter, and perhaps just one more slice of leftover pumpkin pie. Wishing each of you and your families a joyful and peaceful Christmas season.
For those interested in joining the Sugar Land Lodge #1141 Members GroupMe, please scan the QR code. This group will be used to send out more real time updates to those of our members not included in the officer GroupMe chat. Please keep chats on topic for Sugar Land Lodge and remember, these chats will send a message to everyone in the group, so be mindful of the time of day you are sending messages.

Brethren, I hope that you and your family are doing well.
Dues Reminder
As a reminder, 2026 dues are coming due very quickly. If your 2026 dues are not received by the end of the day on December 31, 2025, you will be considered in arrears and will not be able to particpate in any activity predicated on being a Master Mason in good standing. Please do not let that happen. If you still owe 2026 dues, please pay remit them as soon as possible.
Morton Lodge Help
We have an opportunity to help our community and our Brothers at Morton Lodge. Morton Lodge will have a booth set up at Miracle on Morton on December 6, 2025. They are in great need of help manning the booth selling food, helping in the kitchen, and giving tours of the lodge room. If you are able to help, please sign up using the link to the right.
If we have not seen you in a while, please try to get back to lodge soon. We would love to enjoy fellowship with you again and join you in the harmony we find in our Stated Meetings. We are also at the lodge almost every Monday and Wednesday. We enjoy fellowship, study, and sometimes, even some good old-fashioned gaming takes place! We'd love to have you join us!
One last request: I kindly ask that you record your charitable works on the form below. These entries help Sugar Land Lodge maintain our property tax exemption, and every act of service—great or small—truly counts.
