As we turn another page int eh calendar, I'm reminded of the timeless nature of our Craft - how each meeting, each handshake, and each shared lesson links us to the Brothers who came before us and to those who will follow.
This past month, I've witnessed the spirit of Freemasonry in action - not in grand gestures, but in small acts of kindness, quiet moments of mentorship, and steadfast dedication to our principles. These are the building blocks of our lodge, and I thank each of you for the light you bring.
Looking ahead, let us recommit ourselves to the tenets of Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth - not just within the walls of the lodge, but in our homes, our communities, and in our daily lives. Let us also be mindful of the Brothers who are unable to be with us - whether due to distance, illness, or other obligations. A simple phone call or visit can go a long way.
May our labors continue with purpose, our fellowship grow in strength, and our lives reflect the values we so proudly uphold.

As the school year approaches, let us remember that it is our duty to continue to our Masonic educations. A great way to do this is to attend a Forum and Exam hosted by the Committee on Work.
The next Forum and Exam scheduled for our area is on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Sul Ross Lodge in College Station. Even if you do not plan on sitting for an esoteric certificate exam, which I highly recommend, attending and participating in the forum is an excellent way to learn new things. R∴W∴ Cockroft does a fantastic job of teaching the "words behind the words".
Another great educational opportunity is a Grand Lodge Treasurer's School. These classes are hosted via Zoom by our very own R∴W∴ Choat and R∴W∴ Cockroft and are very informative for any member of the Lodge. You may sign up for classes, the next being hosted on Monday, August 4, 2025, through Grand View.
Attendance at the Forum and Exam, as well as attendance at the Treasurer's School, will count towards required items for this year's Vanguard Award.
Regarding charitable activites, Brothers, if you perform any kind of charitable activies, please log them in the Charity Log (always linked in this newsletter). These activites get reported each year on our Form 71 and help us maintain our tax exempt status. Please be steadfast in logging your activies so that we do not need to scramble to figure out who has charitable activities to log while we are filling out the Form 71 year year.
I hope to see you all at upcoming meetings and events. The lodge is open most Mondays and Wednesdays for study and fellowship, and we would love to see you there. It is also a great opportunity to invite anybody you know that may be interested in Masonry to introduce them to our Craft and members.
